“I love teaching Super 1 Day classes,” said Dana Nordlund, Cr.Photog., CPP. “It's a way to give back to the photographic community that has given me so much. And it's such a great feeling when you see the light bulb come on and someone gets the ‘ah-ha’ moment.”

Super 1 Day allows photographers to interact in an experiential learning session. A trail of successful career transformations earned the event its “super” title, as past participants claim their skill sets experienced significant advancement with the training they received. Workshops are conducted by qualified PPA photographers and encompass portrait and wedding photography, posing, lighting, digital retouching and workflow, in addition to sales and marketing strategies for photographers. The variety of topics and locations offers convenient options for attendees. The event continues to grow annually and is recognized for producing photographers that are shaping the industry.

“Super 1 Day is great peer-to-peer education,” said PPA's director of education, Angela Kurkian. “You can learn so much from people who have experienced the same challenges you're facing. It's a great way to meet other photographers and build your network. Being around others who share your love for the craft will propel you forward much faster than going it alone.”

The early bird registration deadline is September 30, with a cost of $99 for each workshop. See the full schedule, locations, and registration details at www.ppa.com/Super1Day. Super 1 Day is open to all photographers, regardless of experience level or PPA membership. There are three easy ways to register:

  • By September 30, 2014, register online for $99 per workshop.
  • By September 30, 2014, register by phone at 1-800-786-6277 for $99 per workshop.
  • After September 30, 2014, register onsite for $120 per workshop. Classes fill up fast, so please contact the instructor prior to attending to ensure space is still available.
