When it comes to innovation from the car world, the place to catch it all is the SEMA Auto Show in Las Vegas. Not your typical car show and closed to the public, SEMA is where tens of thousands of auto enthusiasts from around the world check out the latest and greatest car gadgets, products, tools and news. - Innovation in Tires: The Toyo® Proxes® ST III™ is the perfect balance of dynamic looks and sport-oriented performance for SUVs and trucks. It boasts a distinctive arrowhead tread design while delivering superb handling, excellent all-season performance, consistent wear and a smooth, quiet ride. With a wider tread and a new silica-based tread compound the Proxes ST III also stops up to 6 feet shorter in wet conditions.
- Rev Up the Racecar: Hyundai presented the U.S. debut of its i30 N close-to-series production racecar at the 2017 SEMA show. The i30 N racer successfully competed in the 24-hours of Nurburgring in May alongside a second i30 N team. The i30 N is Hyundai’s first high-performance model and was launched in Europe. The race provided yet another important development check in finalizing the i30 N, testing two close-to-series production models, proving that Hyundai’s first high-performance model N is truly race-capable.
- Custom Vehicle Builds: Kia Motors America (KMA) transforms dreams into reality at the 2017 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show with custom vehicle builds and opportunities to experience the all-new Stinger GT. In advance of the Stinger going on sale this December, KMA invited West Coast Customs to modify and feature two highly customized works of art, one based on the Stinger GT and the other on the current Cadenza premium sedan. KMA also revealed a uniquely modified Stinger equipped with a host of parts and accessories from leading aftermarket suppliers.
