MultiVu’s Top 5 Most-Viewed Blog Posts of 2020

As the ball dropped in Times Square to mark the start of a fresh new year, our hopes were high, and business was looking bright. We were about to celebrate a full year in our amazing NYC office overlooking the Hudson. Life was predictable and had a certain rhythm to it. My team and I felt prepared for 2020 with a plan to kick our PR/Marketing into high gear as we launched several new products and services. We all know how this story ends: MAJOR DISRUPTION.
This year has challenged our resilience and ability to adapt to massive change. Elaborate plans were scrapped as Maslow’s hierarchy of needs kicked in. We pressed pause on our big dreams and started to crave security and stability as we fought to hold the line and keep our company afloat. We learned new ways to logistically operate in the virtual world as we abandoned our offices around the country to set up working stations at home. Those of us in the corporate world have fared better than most. We were quickly able to arrange the infrastructure to keep our organizations running. Many of our friends, families, and neighbors have not been so lucky, and our cultural divide deepened.
With all of this in mind, it is no surprise that our most visited content on MultiVu.com this year is indicative of the uncertainty pros in the comms space have been experiencing for months. Our top blogs all touch on the pandemic, with most explaining how to pivot and adapt your communication strategy throughout. While none of us are sure what is coming during the months ahead, MultiVu remains committed to being your steady and faithful guide through it all. We wish you a safe and healthy holiday season and a new year that defies expectations in the best possible way.
Without further ado, the countdown…

How Being Forced Apart Made Us All Better
When the shelter-at-home orders came down in mid-March, I had the same reaction much of the rest of you did: I wondered how the heck I was going to handle a full-time job and homeschooling my kids while simultaneously keeping the stress and anxiety at bay. I have done it all with varying degrees of success over the last 6+ weeks, but I struggled most sharply with how my role as a Marketer would be perceived during a time of global crisis.
Media Pitching During a Pandemic
While the breadth of change brought on by COVID-19 is impossible to fully understand in this moment, it is clear the media ecosystem has been greatly impacted in a lasting way by this pandemic.
