A FRESH, MODERN AND EASY-DRINKING WINE Made from grapes grown in a selection of organically farmed plots on clay-limestone soil, Mouton Cadet Rouge x Pierre is a modern and luminous interpretation of Bordeaux Merlot. The method used to make the wine is a hybrid of rosé and red techniques that preserve the radiance of the fruit and give a fine, chiseled body quite unlike the traditional powerful structures. After maturing for four months at low temperature, the wine reveals all its freshness. Ruby red with a garnet hue, it initially opens on sage and wild strawberry aromas then goes on with airing to develop an array of red berry fruit notes such as redcurrant, strawberry and raspberry, together with a touch of rosemary.
