OPI Launches New Brand Campaign “Color Is The Answer” Celebrating The Power Of Color
Los Angeles (October 17, 2018) - OPI goes beyond product with an overarching mission to revolutionize the world with color. Color transforms. Color evokes emotions and meanings. Color has the power to change behaviors, redefine culture and even improve our world. For these reasons, OPI is harnessing Color is the Answer as its brand message and core vision.
As the #1 salon brand worldwide, OPI offers the widest range of shades and the best performing professional portfolio of products. OPI aims to embrace the power of color, showing how color has the power to change how a person feels, tell stories, provoke conversations and inspire. Combined with shade names that trigger emotions such as We the Female, Purple With a Purpose and She’s a Bad Muffuletta, OPI helps to shape new trends and redefine culture. Color is the Answer will be at the core of OPI’s content creation, campaigns, products, and vision, relying on the tenant that Color = Feeling.

“Color is powerful. It doesn’t matter what we want to say or how we want to feel, there is a way to express ourselves with color,” adds Laura Simpson, CMO Coty Professional Beauty. “It’s iconic and timeless and can communicate across cultures and people. No brand celebrates color like OPI. It’s the creative universe we want to own, as we look to take the brand to new heights.”
Within Color is the Answer, OPI also launches Color for Change, a charitable component encompassing programs and acts that harness the power of color to generate a positive impact. For the brand’s first initiative, OPI’s LA-based team colorfully transformed the garden of the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House - which supports families whose children are undergoing lengthy medical care. OPI planted flowers and arranged colorfully-decorated stones featuring inspirational messages to this important communal space. In addition to reinvigorating the garden through color, OPI manicurists gave manicures to children and families staying at the Los Angeles Ronald McDonald House. The company’s second initiative offered New York based special needs teachers an evening of color and pampering at a recent OPI Pop Up Shop, in Greenwich Village, where they were treated to manicures, makeup, hairstyling, champagne, food and goody bags, to thank them for their often under appreciated hard work with children.
