Gourmet Garden Celebrates Pantry Staple in 93% of American’s Homes This National Pasta Day, October 17th
Celebrity Chef Alex Guarnaschelli offers new inspiration, while recent consumer survey results highlight how Americans like to flavor pasta
HUNT VALLEY, Md., October 16, 2019 – October 17th is National Pasta Day, and to celebrate this favorite pantry staple, renowned Iron Chef and restauranteur Alex Guarnaschelli teamed up with Gourmet Garden™ refrigerated herbs and spices to offer home cooks fresh, convenient, and flavorful dinner inspiration. It’s no surprise that nearly half of U.S. adults have 30 minutes or less to make dinner each week, so pasta is often the perfect solution that lets flavorful sauces, proteins and add-ins shine.
In honor of National Pasta Day, Chef Alex created two new recipes – Italian Herb Pesto Farfalle Pasta and Chicken and Ginger Vegetable Linguine – to showcase the flavor and convenience that pasta delivers for easy meals. “Pasta is a weeknight staple in my home and inspires me to create something completely different each time I open a box,” said Chef Alex Guarnaschelli. “Garlic, basil and chicken are go-to ingredients ready to go from my refrigerator anytime I’m looking to whip up a quick dinner for me and my family.”
