Jeddah – September 13, 2017: Hajj is one of the five pillars of Islam. Millions of Muslims from every country and every culture unite in Saudi Arabia one time every year for the Hajj pilgrimage.
The pilgrimage is consists of a series of rituals performed over several days and takes place every year from the eighth to twelfth day of the last month of the lunar Islamic Calendar.
For centuries, Muslims from all walks of life have made their pilgrimage. For some, the cost of travel is never a problem. Others save their entire lives. Many more are sponsored by hundred of charities in Saudi Arabia and around the world. But once in Mecca, the material world is shed, wealth and social status are forgotten and everyone is equal.
