October 2026 campaign urges millions to put their location on the map, proving the massive scale of this painful vascular disorder.

REDDING, CT — September 29, 2026 — This October, for Raynaud’s Awareness Month, the Raynaud’s Association is launching its most critical offensive yet. The campaign, themed "The Cold War: Putting Raynaud’s on the Map," rallies the estimated 15 to 30 million Americans living with Raynaud’s to log their location inside a digital "War Room," providing valuable data to prove the condition deserves global recognition.

Raynaud’s disease causes an exaggerated vascular spasm from cold temperatures or stress. Blood vessels narrow drastically, turning fingers and toes white or blue, causing painful numbness, throbbing, and burning. Despite affecting up to 1 in 10 Americans, it remains virtually invisible on public health maps.

To force this hidden condition onto the global radar, the Association has established an interactive tracking map designed for quick and easy participation. Patients are urged to simply confirm they suffer from the cold and log their geographic location to instantly be counted as joining the fight. While participants can choose to further personalize their map pins by sharing a "Warrior code name," a brief story, or a battlefield photo, these deeper elements are entirely optional.

"For too long, Raynaud’s has been dismissed as a minor inconvenience, leaving millions to fight this freezing battle in isolation," said Lynn Wunderman, Chairman of the Raynaud’s Association. "This year, we are shifting the emphasis from our quiz format to a real-time data map. By simply confirming their location, our community will provide visual proof to demonstrate that Raynaud's is a legitimate medical issue that deserves global attention, answers, and immediate action."
