There’s nothing worse than traveling in an unfamiliar area and losing cell service. No matter how ubiquitous cell phones are, there are still “dead zones” all over the United States and being unreachable is a daunting thought…even for the most adventurous travelers.
If you’re worried your travel plans may take you “off the grid” this summer or fall, worry no more! T-Mobile has taken connectivity where it’s never gone before with T-Satellite with Starlink. The service extends coverage in the 500,000 square miles of U.S. territory where traditional towers can’t reach. With over 650 satellites already in orbit, the beta program has been incredibly successful. More than a million messages have been sent from areas unreachable by any terrestrial provider, from national parks to remote corners across the country.
Travel enthusiast, Kinga Philipps comes to us from the beautiful mountain ranges of West Virginia, one of the many destinations now with mobile coverage! Kinga shares details on what has changed and improved because of satellite technology and how this will benefit fellow travelers.
