Trescal Boosts Aerospace and Defence Support in UK and Ireland

London, United Kingdom – July 6, 2026 – Trescal, the global leader of calibration services, expands its laboratory network and service portfolio across the United Kingdom and Ireland to address the operational needs of the aviation and defence industries.

Trescal’s growth trajectory incorporated 14 specialised laboratories, including onsite laboratories to its network over five years. Its enhanced regional agility enables Trescal to serve aerospace and defence Tier1s and OEMs with accelerated turnaround times and broader technical coverage in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025, AS9100, EN9100, FAA, EASA, AMS2750, and NADCAP requirements.

The expansion includes the acquisition of Facility Monitoring Systems Ltd (FMS). This acquisition integrates FMS’s specialised capabilities with Trescal’s core metrology expertise to deliver comprehensive solutions for critical environments and environmental monitoring.

Smart monitoring technology for cleanroom control

FMS’s product range brings together advanced technologies used to monitor controlled environments with greater precision. The portfolio includes:

Airborne particle counters

Airborne particle counters

Handheld, portable and remote particle counters that support cleanroom classification, routine monitoring and continuous measurement of airborne contamination.

Biotrak viable particle counter

The BioTrak™ Viable particle counter

Real-time viable particle counting technology that supports compliance with key continuous microbial sampling directives in EU GMP Annex 1 (2022) and strengthens contamination control strategies.

Monitoring systems

Facility monitoring software

An integrated monitoring platform that connects particle counters, environmental inputs such as temperature, humidity, and differential pressure. The software provides continuous data acquisition, alarm management, and compliant reporting for critical environments.

Far uvc light technology

Far-UVC light technology

Chemical-free Far-UVC decontamination technology designed to support bioburden reduction in hygiene-critical and controlled environments. It provides an additional layer of contamination control for areas where cleanliness and operational continuity are essential.

Together, these products complement Trescal’s calibration expertise by giving aerospace and defence customers greater visibility over the environments where precision manufacturing, testing and compliance critical operations take place.
