SEATTLE (July 24, 2020) – Nordstrom is thrilled to announce the arrival of Anniversary Sale, the company’s biggest and most popular shopping event of the year. Beginning August 19 online and in stores, Anniversary Sale will feature brand-new arrivals on sale for a limited time until prices go back up on August 31. The celebrated Sale will showcase deals from brands like Frame Denim, Good American, Madewell, Topshop/Topman, Nike, Adidas, AG Jeans, Le Labo, La Mer and more, with more than 10,000 items for men, women and kids in every category including apparel, shoes, accessories, beauty, active and home. Early Access is available for Nordy Club cardmembers beginning August 13 – and some customers can shop even earlier depending on their loyalty status (see more info below and on Nordstrom.com/Anniversary).
Every year during Anniversary Sale, Nordstrom brings customers deals on the best brands and hottest trends, as well as everyday essentials. New this year in response to customer demand – the sale will feature an expanded assortment of loungewear, activewear and cozy home items to accommodate stay-at-home life that many are now experiencing. Women will find brands like Nike, Adidas, and Sweaty Betty, La Ligne, Daydreamer as well as Veronica Beard, L’Agence, Vince, Free People, Avec Les Filles and more, many of them with items under $100. For a little self-care, customers will find hundreds of beauty and wellness exclusives from brands like Trish McEvoy, NuFace, Kiehl’s, Dr. Barbara Sturm, Tom Ford, Charlotte Tillbury and Beautybio. For men, top brands include Nike, Adidas, Champion, A.P.C, Vince, RVCA, AG Jeans, Paige, Ksubi and more. In home, the company is excited to feature brands like Anthropologie, The White Company, S’well, Serene House, Smeg, Rachel Parcell, Deny Designs and more, many of them on Anniversary Sale for the first time. I’m excited about all the great statement outerwear – there is so much fun color, bold print and newness in cut. Other favorites include printed midi dresses, lug sole boots and great-fitting denim in a range of extended sizes.
I am trying to buy more thoughtfully, so I am really pleased that there are so many fashion pieces on the Sale this year that I know I will be able to wear for years. Even some of the more forward pieces are grounded in classic cuts or patterns that make them timeless.
The breadth of styles is what I am most excited about this year. With pieces ranging from classic to edgy and everything in between, it is easy to find items to mix and match and make unexpected new looks.
My favorite finds on the Sale this year are cozy sweaters and fleece in updated patterns and colors. They easily pair back to denim, but for a fresh twist, I also plan to wear them with some of the soft skirts and dresses on the Sale.
I am instantly drawn toward all the easy, layering pieces on the Sale this year. The light outerwear and longer sweaters are great for playing with proportion and will be perfect for creating casual chic looks this fall.
All the fresh color this year immediately caught my eye – from off-beat neutral tones to pop pastels. I am also excited about all the great heritage or technical outerwear from brands like Barbour and The North Face.
