Hotels.com® Takes New York City on a “Bedventure”

Public gets transported to fantasy destinations with still more chances to score a one-night stay

DALLAS – June 28, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Who ever thought bed-hopping could be so rewarding? On June 26th, hundreds of New Yorkers went on an exciting “Bedventure” thanks to Hotels.com® and its loyalty program, Welcome Rewards™. Participants went on a whirlwind, virtual vacation by “flying” from one exotic destination to the next on a larger-than-life, custom-made bed during the free outdoor event. New Welcome Rewards members who signed up on the spot were automatically entered to win one of three five-night stays at a destination of their choice, a $500 cash card, and a FlipCam.

“Bedventure” continues today on Twitter as Hotels.com fans still have a chance to score big with more great prizes. Tweet a picture of your “perfect place” to @hotelsdotcom, along with the hashtag #Bedventure, to be entered to win 10 Welcome Rewards credits – equivalent to a free night at one of our over 65,000 partner hotels. Two random winners will be chosen and notified at the conclusion of the promotion on July 2nd. Be sure to follow @hotelsdotcom to enter and see if you’ve won.

Eager to join in on the fun, consumers took a break from their desks or popped in with friends and family to take pictures while lounging on the giant bed with lush and exotic travel destinations super-imposed behind them. Participants were able to choose from five iconic travel destinations, including London, Egypt, China, the Caribbean beaches, and the Teton Mountains. Those who posed for the camera were also able to instantly share their silly and wild pictures via Facebook or Twitter.
