SAN FRANCISCO and WALTHAM, MA-July 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — California and Massachusetts-based green precision homebuilder Blu Homes (www.bluhomes.com) today announced that Diana Helfrich has been named vice president of marketing. She brings with her more than twenty-five years of executive and marketing experience in the clean-tech and high-tech sectors. She will be joining Blu’s leadership team and heading all marketing and customer acquisition initiatives from Blu’s San Francisco office, including communications, branding and advertising.
Helfrich has a history of promoting renewable, environmentally-friendly technologies. She was most recently VP of marketing for SolarCity® where she helped bring the company from start-up to leading clean energy brand. Diana will play an integral part in bringing Blu mainstream.”
Before SolarCity, Helfrich held a number of high-level marketing roles, including VP of marketing for BigBand Networks and VP of marketing for Copper Mountain Networks, where she managed marketing teams that helped both expand from start-up through IPO to publicly traded companies. Helfrich holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California at Berkeley and an MBA from St. Mary’s College.
With her reputation as a brand-builder, Helfrich’s appointment highlights Blu’s commitment to changing the way Americans build homes—coupling beautiful design and precision construction to create green homes that are not only economical, but healthy to live in and better for the environment because they are constructed with the highest green standards in mind, are more energy efficient and result in a smaller carbon footprint.
“Blu Homes represents a completely fresh take on the marriage of green and high-tech,” says Helfrich. “This is an important and exciting time to join a team that is revolutionizing the future of homebuilding using pre-fabricated, luxury green home construction and I look forward to drawing from my experience to drive the company forward.”
