MAKE THE GRADE IN STYLE WITH STRIDE RITE®

Stride Rite Children’s Group steps out for back to school in fashion

Lexington, Mass., August 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ — Stride Rite Children’s Group, the leader in premium children’s footwear, has just unveiled its new fall 2013 collection, sending kids back to school in style. Stride Rite Children’s Group offers a wide range of styles from Stride Rite®, Saucony® Kids, Keds® Kids and Sperry Top-Sider® Kids that will outfit your kids for everything from their first day of school to their first track practice.

Stride Rite Children’s Group debuted their fall fashion collection at petitePARADE’s Kids Fashion Week in March 2013. In collaboration with acclaimed NYC kids fashion stylist, Jennifer Smith, Stride Rite Children’s Group showcased styles and the season’s top trends, including a very special glimpse of the brand’s new premium Stride Rite Medallion Collection for toddlers and preschoolers. Smith showcased each brand in the best of kid’s high fashion apparel and accessories, including American Apparel®, Appaman, Appaman Fine Tailoring, Atsuyo et Akiko, Flora and Henri, Tocca Bambini and Love Collection by Rie Miyamoto. “This back to school season, the biggest overall trend for kids fashion is making a statement and expressing individuality in a creative way,” said Jennifer Smith, children’s fashion stylist. “Kids are increasingly aware of what’s fashionable and love to incorporate trends into their everyday style. With a wide variety of on-trend shoes, Stride Rite Children’s Group provides kids with brands and styles kids are looking for this back to school season.”

On trend colors for fall include purple, a stand out color with lilac, violet and magenta shade options, and grey, making a statement with hints of color and texture featuring charcoal and heather in suede and leather. Glitter is “glam” this season, with glitter prints and chunky glitter under glass-like finishes. For jazzing up a school uniform, pops of color make a splash in casuals and classic silhouettes. Stride Rite Children’s Group animal prints are big and bold in large scale patterns and fresh new colors. Additionally, sequin overlays and foiled prints add shimmer and shine.

“At Stride Rite Children’s Group we are dedicated to providing quality footwear for every occasion,” said Kiran Smith, VP of Marketing of Stride Rite Children’s Group. “Our fall collection is not only stylish but designed with your child’s foot health in mind to ensure they start off their school year on the right foot.”

The fall 2013 collection is available now in Stride Rite retail stores, online at www.striderite.com, as well as through Stride Rite wholesale partners including Nordstrom and Dillard’s.
