A Web Designer Perspective on the Multichannel News Release Process

You have just purchased a Multichannel News Release, or a MNR, so what happens now? At MultiVu, we make the process as painless as possible. A Project Manager will be in touch with you to advise how and where to send your information, discuss your vision, distribution details and so on. As your Web Designer, I am here to explain what happens once we receive your instructions and how we bring your vision to life.
My job as a Web Designer is to set up the overall structure and layout of your MNR, process and adjust your content and other assets, tweaking colors and fonts, and any other custom requests. Along with web design, I use graphic design to optimize your images and create custom banners and other design assets that accentuate your brand. I also make sure your MNR is responsive and mobile-friendly, as many visitors are reading your news on the go.
After I've gathered all of the data I need to use, I set out to understand your brand and what message you are trying to convey. Having a website is not required, but it does help in designing your MNR, as I am able to understand the concept of your colors, fonts, and overall general style. I can take ideas from photos, videos, or any other resources you may have. No matter what your company does, you have photos and videos to share that will help reveal your news to the world, encapsulated by your brand.
The logo and the call to action are important in advising exactly what you want your readers to see and do. A hero image or video often grabs the attention as it is the first major media asset visitors will see. Different types of galleries showcase your multimedia. Highlighting your gallery is important as that is what most visitors will remember, more than the content itself. There are a variety of galleries to choose from when it comes to your multimedia.
I can design your gallery with a more eloquent yet clear and crisp approach, customize the gallery to match your brand, highlight your video in the gallery, or even display your gallery as a slider. You might prefer your multimedia gallery in a sidebar, with focus on an infographic or a series of multimedia, or even display your multimedia inline without a gallery! There is a lot of room for creativity when designing your gallery, including accenting a video and an image, a four-by-four gallery, or completely customizing your MNR. And it definitely helps to highlight your social media!
While I will absolutely tell you that the multimedia gallery assets on your MNR are key elements on the page, I cannot stress to you enough about the importance of great eye-catching, attention-grabbing content within your news. Whether your organization just donated $50,000 to Foster Care or you are promoting your latest all-in-one sales assistant web application, you have a story to tell – news to be released -- and I want you to take full advantage of our design expertise, allowing your news to be featured the way it was meant to be seen! You are in good hands to not only have great news delivered, but with the emphasis of branded news coming directly from your corporation!
At MultiVu, we take pride in your news and your company brand, striving to ensure you love what we do (as we get to do what we love). Your news and how it looks is important to us; it is why we do what we do. Matching your news to your brand is not only what keeps you in mind to bloggers, journalists, and media outlets, but also leaves your visitors with an experience to remember. Regardless of the news you have or the audience you want to reach, we design accordingly, even for Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead.
